Candy Bar Coated Pretzels

These are a super easy, very yummy snack.  What's better than crunchy, sweet and salty all combined in one?
I don't have a recipe, but here's the basic instructions.

You Need:
Large Pretzels or Pretzel Rods
1 package Candy Melts (I used the Wilton Brand milk chocolate melts - I would think you could use chocolate chips as well)
Misc. Candy or Candy bars, chopped finely

Melt your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl the microwave.  All microwaves are different, however, I put mine on for 30 seconds, then stirred and then 45 seconds and stirred.  This just melted all of them.

Prep a baking sheet with a piece of waxed paper.  This is where your pretzels will set up.

Take a pretzel, holding the back of it, and dip the front into the melted chocolate.

Next, dip the chocolate side into the chopped candy.

Set on a baking sheet, on the un-dipped side, to set.  The candy will adhere to the pretzel, even if it starts to fall to the side.

Ta dah!  You're finished.

The flavors I used in the photo are (left-right): Reeses Pieces, Snickers, and Peanut Butter Cup.

**One thing I did discover.  Not all pretzels have the same amount of salt, and this definitely makes a difference in the finished product.  If the pretzels you use are not adequately salted, you can sprinkle a very small amount of coarse salt on the chocolate dipped pretzel before dipping it in candy.**

They store for up to 7 days at room temperature in a sealed container or bag.
